Last year was our first Christmas as a family. I’m a stay-at-home Mom and we’re on a budget, so we wanted to buy things that our son would actually play with more than just on Christmas Day.
I researched, made lists and notes. I read reviews and compared prices. My husband and I confidently purchased our son’s Christmas gifts knowing we found items he would love. And guess what?
You don’t have to do all the searching, review reading, and comparing like I did because I decided to share his gift list with you!
These are all Amazon links. I don’t know about you, but I’m obsessed with my Amazon Prime account. I never even have to leave my house and I get free 2-day shipping. There’s no other way for me to shop. And if you haven’t been using Amazon Prime– you need to now. Seriously. Try Amazon Prime 30-Day Free Trial (how can you say no to FREE?) It’s a game changer.
This was the first toy to get our son curious and experimenting with water. He was a little mad scientist, dumping water from different size cups and spraying water into each of the funnels to see what would happen. The eyes on the toy move from side to side, the wheel spins around, water gently shoots out of the tubes on the bottom. He still plays with it to this day (a year later!).
Our son squealed with delight once we opened this up and he realized what it was. He loves crawling through this tunnel and playing hide & seek in it. Sometimes he even sits in there with some books or toys and plays. What we as the parent’s love, is that it easily folds up so you can hide it away at the end of the day.
This tent was the best purchase we have ever made. Ok, I may be exaggerating. But the kid LOVES this teepee. It’s just over 5 feet tall and the absolute best price we found on a teepee of this quality. I can’t tell you how many hours we spend reading books, playing, and crawling around this thing. It’s adorable and fits in with his room theme perfectly. Some nights he even crawls out of bed and sleeps in it, which doesn’t thrill me as his Mama, but he loves it that much.
Ok, this is the coolest kids drumset out there. It is battery operated, comes with drumsticks, a seat, and a working microphone. There are numerous sound effects along with songs so that you can play to your own beat or along with the music. The volume is adjustable so they can play loudly or softly. This thing was built to last because I think my kid has played the drums every day since Christmas and has been dragging it all around our house– and it still works perfectly!
This is a new spin to the Magna Doodle from our era. This toy teaches toddlers how to write upper and lower case letters, as well as creatively draw. You can even customize it with your child’s name so that they can practice writing it. It’s amazing. Our son has learned so much by playing with this toy, and the best part is that he is having fun with learning!
I hope this makes your Christmas shopping less stressful. Add these items to your Amazon shopping cart and feel confident that your toddler will be busy playing with these gifts all year long!
